Shropshire's Real Ale features prominently in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2010 with county pubs and inns featured within the bible for real ale enthusiasts.

Out of a total of 4,500 entries within the guide, Shropshire has a total of 51 pubs and inns entries as well as 16 brewery entries. Entries from across the county are included within the guide from Oswestry in the north to Ludlow in the south with Bridgnorth receiving six entries making it the Shropshire town with the most inclusions in the guide.

Shropshire is no stranger to award winning real ale with Hobsons brewery in Cleobury Mortimer winning the title of Best Beer in Britain for their real ale Hobsons Mild in 2007.

Other award winning Shropshire breweries include The Wood Brewery who won a Heart of England Fine Foods Diamond Award for their real ales.
